Ace of Clubs (ch 8 -J)
What do you think of Ed's plan to get people into the church? Was it a good plan or not? Do you think filling the church was his "purpose" with Father O'Reilly? What about Angie Carrusso? Why would Ed need to buy her an ice cream? What does it mean in the bigger picture? What do you think Ed's purpose it with Gavin Rose?

I thought it was a pretty good plan. It god tons of people there. I do bleiving that bringing people into the church was his purpose in Thomas O'Reillys purpose. I'm not sure what his purpose with Angie is. Ed bought her an ice cream because she can't afford to get one for herself and he wanted to make her feel better. I'm not sure how i feel about Gavin
I think Ed has a great plan to lure people in. A clever one at that too! I don't think it was as much about him filling the church, but more as him renewing the Father's hope, and giving him a chance to see his brother. Ed bought Angie an ice cream because every week her kids get one but not her. But Ed buys her an ice cream to show that she can still have the happiness in life. I think Ed's purpose with Gavin is to teach him the value of family, and life. How he will do this? Who knows?
Free beer was a pretty awesome plan, but to get people to go to church? I'm not sure. But it worked great anyways. I still don't know if filling the church was Ed's purpose to help Father O'Reilly or not. Maybe there is something more to it. But he sure did help him a lot. Angie Carrusso was an easy help. Sometimes you just got to be nice, and make someones day. As of this moment, I do not know what Ed's purpose is with Gavin Rose. Maybe to make him a better kid, show him the better things in life.
Eds idea with filling the church was pretty good. I don't think that was what he was supposed to do with the priest and i don't think he's done yet. And i think Ed bought the chick the ice cream because he sees her buy her kids one and not herself. He was just doing a good deed. I guess paying it forward?
I think Ed's plan is a little bit weird for a church at first. Later on it seems like a brilliant idea. Yes this was the purpose. Ice cream makes everyone feel better. I'm not sure yet what his purpose is for Gavin Rose.
i think it was GOOD ISEAD AND IT GOT ALOT OF PPL THEIR. i dont think tomas oriley is the reason to bring ppl to the church. idk about angie though, he offed cecream and she was really broke. and idk enough about gavin.
I think Ed's plan was good because it gathered all different people no matter what religion they were. Actually yes because Ed got the Father's brother Tony to come and have a little heart to heart with him. I think the purpose for Angie is that she is a single mom taking care of three kids and needs some kind of person to help her out a lil bit and make her happy. I think Ed bought the ice cream for Angie because she seem like she was having a bad day and needed a little cheering up. I think Ed's purpose with Gavin Rose is to show that he don't have to be a little shit because of his older brother is.
i thought it was an awesome idea im eean who wouldnt come. yes it was his purpose. ed bought her an icecream cuz everyone likes ice cream and it cheers people up. in the end. m not quite sure what eds purpose is.
I think that he purposely filled the Church because he wanted the priest to be happy and to have fun, more people the better. And i think he more hoping towards the priests brother Tony to be there because they have not seen each other in a long time. I think that he gave Angie Carrusso an ice cream because he always noticed she never had one when they were there, and it looked like she was not happy, she kind of looked depressed kind of. He's Making her day in a way, she was very thankful for the ice cream.
Honestly I'm not really sure what he has in mind for Gavin Rose...
I thought it was an unusual plan. I wasn't sure it would work, but it definitely attracted people to the church. I believe his purpose was to help Father O'Rilley was not to fill the church with beer, but to help Father O'Rilley realize that there is more to life. There are good things and bad things in life. I'm not sure if that is accurate, but that is my impression. Ed bought Angie an ice cream because she always gets the for the other children and can never afford to buy one for herself. I believe his purpose in that was to show her that people do care about her and that she is a good person. Also that she deserves something good too. In the bigger picture it means that she is noticed by others. Ed's purpose with Gaven Rose.. I'm not quite sure yet. I am excited to continue reading.
Ed bought Angie a ice cream because she always bought her children a ice cream every week when she gets paid when she obviously is not the richest person. I think that Ed's purpose with Gavin Rose is to get him & His brother to be brothers. By helping his brother he was trying to help them.
Eds idea for the free beer and the food and the jump house was really smart.and it sempt like the people all had a good time.i dont know eds purpose of the whole gavin thing but maybe it was to teach him a big lesson in life.
